Bluehost Scales Small Business Hosting with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

By moving its global clientele to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Bluehost, one of the biggest web hosting and digital services companies in the world, is quickening its transition to a next-generation cloud platform. The action highlights a larger trend in the hosting and data center sectors, where conventional providers are adopting hyperscale technology to give small and mid-sized enterprises enterprise-level performance.

Nearly one million Bluehost customers have already been migrated to OCI, reporting between four and five times faster response times compared to legacy systems. The company expects to complete the full transition by 2026, positioning itself to offer cloud performance levels typically reserved for large enterprises—at small business price points.

According to Bluehost Group CEO Sachin Puri, the adoption of OCI is designed to bridge the performance and affordability gap that has historically separated small business web hosting from enterprise-grade infrastructure. “With OCI, we can give millions of small businesses enterprise-level speed, reliability, and protection without sacrificing affordability or simplicity,” said Sachin Puri. “It’s an exciting time for Bluehost Group to be delivering a modern, AI-forward digital business portfolio with extraordinary performance and affordability, now extending that to ISVs and MSPs as well.”

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure provides Bluehost with access to high-performance compute, low-latency networking, and globally distributed data center capacity across more than 40 regions. The company’s migration reflects a strategic shift toward hybrid cloud scalability and AI-ready infrastructure – key factors as cloud-native applications, analytics, and automation increasingly define the competitive edge for hosting providers.

Chris Gandolfo, Executive Vice President at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, described the collaboration as a step forward for democratizing cloud access. “By choosing OCI, Bluehost is bringing enterprise-grade performance, efficiency, and reliability to millions of businesses at a fraction of the cost,” said Mr. Gandolfo. “OCI enables Bluehost to help entrepreneurs and growing businesses scale and thrive online using the same cloud technologies trusted by the world’s leading enterprises.”

For Bluehost, OCI’s architecture allows it to deploy high-density compute resources while maintaining cost efficiency through advanced workload orchestration and autonomous operations. The hosting provider cites a 30% reduction in cost-per-customer for equivalent performance and a significant reduction in latency for hosted workloads. In addition, OCI’s distributed network and edge capabilities are helping Bluehost improve load balancing and redundancy, achieving uptime rates approaching 99.99%.

The partnership also supports Bluehost’s entry into new international markets at an accelerated pace. OCI’s global footprint enables localized deployment in emerging regions – critical for data sovereignty and compliance with regulations such as PCI and GDPR. The platform’s inherent scalability is also proving valuable for independent software vendors (ISVs) and managed service providers (MSPs), who rely on Bluehost’s infrastructure to host and scale cloud-native applications.

Anuj Saxena, Chief Technology Officer of Newfold Digital, Bluehost’s parent company, emphasized the technical collaboration behind the transition. “By taking full advantage of OCI’s distributed network fabric, high-throughput storage, and autonomous operations, we’re achieving greater performance and reliability across global regions,” said Mr. Saxena. “Our engineering teams are collaborating closely with Oracle to optimize every layer of the stack – compute, storage, networking, and AI inference – to ensure these gains translate directly to real-world customer impact.”

Bluehost is also laying the groundwork for deeper AI integration into its hosting and SaaS platforms. With OCI’s AI and GPU-ready infrastructure, the company plans to introduce advanced services such as intelligent site optimization, predictive analytics, and personalized digital experiences for small business users. Dedicated engineering teams from Oracle and Bluehost are co-developing AI performance analytics designed specifically for the hosting market – reflecting a growing convergence between cloud infrastructure, AI, and small business technology.

From a data center perspective, Bluehost’s full-scale migration to OCI represents one of the most significant shifts among mass-market hosting providers toward hyperscale infrastructure. It highlights how the democratization of GPU and high-performance computing resources is beginning to transform the B2B web hosting and application delivery landscape. As small businesses increasingly adopt AI-driven tools and automation, their hosting platforms will need to deliver the same compute and reliability standards that power enterprise cloud operations.

Bluehost’s integration with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure would position the web hosting company at the intersection of that transformation – bringing the scalability and intelligence of the hyperscale cloud to millions of small business websites, developers, and digital entrepreneurs around the world.
